We conduct thorough preliminary planning with you before we produce your all-inclusive quote, so you are well informed and prepared long before we start building your new granny flat or small home. Once you are ready to go our project development team takes charge and works seamlessly to secure approvals, organise trades and materials and construct your home.
Once your contract is signed, the project development team will draft final floor plans. The surveyor will attend your property and conduct all relevant site investigations and analysis. Our team then develops and submits DA applications to secure relevant approvals
The first step in the building process is to meet with our project development team. Caroline Anthony, our construction manager, will be your “go to person” throughout the process. She will assist you with any queries or concerns you may have and ensure the process is hassle free.
The time to prepare for and receive relevant approvals depends on the nature of your project and the council in which you are building. DAs can take anywhere from 6 weeks or longer.
Once all approvals have been obtained we are ready to start construction and things start to really speed up. We use a unique insulated modular system that makes construction dramatically quicker and more efficient than traditional methods. While every granny flat or small home is unique, complete construction usually takes 12-14 weeks, from commencement of construction. A typical timeline might be:
